Jazz
A high-energy dance style combining sharp, powerful movements with fluid transitions, often influenced by popular music and characterized by rhythm and creativity.
Contemporary
A versatile dance style blending ballet, modern, and jazz techniques, focusing on emotional expression and fluid, organic movements.
Ballet
A classical dance form emphasizing grace, precision, and fluid movements, often performed on pointe and focused on technique and discipline.
Lyrical
A dance style that combines elements of ballet and jazz, performed to music with lyrics, emphasizing storytelling, emotion, and expressive, flowing movements.
Summer Camps and Competition Fee's, and classes are separate from all other classes. Please contact us about these fees and classes.

K&M Dance Studio Rules:
Registration Opens August 1, each year and closes January 1.
Policy and Handbook will be signed at the first day of class by parents.
Classes won't start until the Middle of October each year and runs until the end of June.
Studio is a closed practice to everyone: This helps with less distractions with sibling, friends, and parents. Plus, this makes it more of a surprise to everyone for recital.
There will be NO Make Up classes, unless teacher is able to have a makeup day for dancer or tumbling, that works with their outside events. Dancer or tumbler may join that make up class date set forth by teacher, or dancer can join another class on a different day at the same age level or higher.
**Please Note: K&M Dance has only 1 dancer teacher and 1 tumbling coach. If we get sick or something comes up, please understand our families do come first.**
Sick policy at K&M Dance: We Follow Oregon Trail School District Sick Rules as well. **must be 48 hours of no fever, vomiting, diarrhea, must test negative of flu or covid before returning to dance class.
Inclement Weather: K&M Dance Also follows Oregon Trail School District NO School Days, Snow Days, or School Breaks. K&M Dance will post on Social Media, Email or Text
New Letters: Will be handed out, emailed, or texted for upcoming events, updates on studio.
If you do not see your level or age group please contact us, or what to know more about Rec or Competition side of any class be contact us, so we may answer your questions.
Late on tuition? 10 days after tuition deadline there will be a $10.00 Late fee added on to regular tuition. Any bounced checks will have a $25.00 fee added on to regular tuition fee.
All Dance fees are set by Studio; Tumbling Fees are all set by Tumbling Coach.

Mutiple students Family Members get a 10% discount on tuition being the youngest dancer.
There will be a $35.00 registration fee Per- Dancer to hold your spot for class or classes with the first's month of tuition due. $35.00 Fee is non-refundable fee,
Recital there will be a $40.00 added to tuition in May per-dancer Fee for rental of space, and usage of the school grounds, this also is a non-refundable fee and must be paid before recital or dancer cannot dance.

Yoie Sweeney-Proctor, the dedicated coach and owner of K&M Dance, has spent her entire life in Sandy. She began her dance journey at the age of eight and was a proud member of the Sandy Elevations Dance Team during her high school years at Sandy High School. Her passion for dance has only grown over the years, fueling her commitment to inspire the next generation of dancers. Balancing her professional life, Yoie is happily married to her childhood friend, Kirk, and they are proud parents to two beautiful and energetic daughters. While the eldest excels in softball, the youngest is heavily involved at the dance studio, continuing the family's legacy of passion and dedication to the performing arts. Through her work, Yoie not only nurtures talent but also instills the joy of dance in her students, making a lasting impact in her community.
